Dublin Decay is a women's streetwear collection inspired by visual research and street photography of neglected areas of Dublin City. Tall archways, broken- down buildings, and dark alleyways informed silhouettes and color palettes. The bold, colorful graffiti brings life and culture to a city that was becoming increasingly sterile and impersonal. Gray cobblestone buildings with high beams and crumbly textures give a dark pallet while a pop of bold color and spray paint is reminiscent of the city's vibrant street art. Texture plays an important role with hand-sewn embroidery and sprayed surface detail. Fabrics are natural cotton, leather, and denim with a sporty technical outerwear cloth for functionality. The designer hopes this collection invites reflection on the city for its century- old history through modern fashion separation.
