Caolan McKeating-Lynch

Caolan McKeating-Lynch’s Portrait

I am exhibiting two of my projects from my 3rd year. Firstly, the Container Project in Wicklow, was a thoroughly enjoyable group project. Giving me the opportunity to work collaboratively with my peers, to explore and develop creative ideas based on our concept which was geometric shapes. Finally, my last project is the County Arms Hotel was in Birr, Co. Offaly. Tasked with redesigning the ground floor, function area and bridal suite, with the primary objective of improving functionality and creating aesthetically pleasing spaces for the users. These areas will be enhanced and fully developed to showcase their full potential. I want the space to remain authentically homely and welcoming as this is a key characteristic of the hotel’s charm. As my concept is a rusting horseshoe, I believe this will complement the hotel by incorporating my ideas fully through shape, texture, tone and colour.
