Refurbishment of Boutique Hotel and Redesign of The Chocolate Factory, a coworking, bar and event space.
Sweeney’s Hotel brief, was to design the redevelopment of a boutique Victorian hotel with the addition of a contemporary wing. The aim was to create a year round luxury experience through the appointment of elegant ensuite bedrooms, a welcoming restaurant, inviting guest areas and development of a central courtyard with a patisserie style cafe.
The concept Threads, inspired the array of textures using the Donegal landscape colour palette and mix of, strong, delicate, light and wistful choice of materials. Creating unique spaces, using a blend of traditional Victorian detail and contemporary twists, offering the guest the ultimate relaxed visit and ambience of a bygone era.
In repurposing The Chocolate Factory, the concept was to preserve the integrity of the original building and design a fertile creative environment for designers and an inviting Tap Bar/Café and multifunctional event space. Using a mix of materials, plants and an industrial colour palette.
