Hi, my name is Ignacio Zegarra, I’m from Bolivia and I'm the writer and director of Blind Eyes. Blind Eyes is a short film that explores themes of indifference, societal blindness, and the human tendency to turn away from uncomfortable realities. Through a personal and introspective narrative, the film aims to reflect on how easy it is to disconnect from the struggles of others, and how this detachment shapes our world today.
Creating Blind Eyes was a deeply meaningful process for me. It challenged me at different levels as a filmmaker because we wanted to create something that demands the viewer’s attention — something that asks them to look, even when it’s easier to look away. We worked hard to achieve this through the film’s sound design and visual language.
