Hi, I'm Miruna and I’m the Director of Finding Yourself, a film which explores themes of identity, control, and emotional resilience through a surreal, character-driven story. It’s about emotional survival, control, and how we build — or break — our identities under pressure. It follows Tori, a young woman forced into a bizarre self-help retreat where she confronts her fears and sense of self.
Film, for me, is a broad and versatile art form that lets me draw inspiration from everywhere: painting, photography, music, and literature. As a director I try to draw from experience and give authenticity to my projects. It’s the exploration of self and experimenting with visuals that draws me to filmmaking.
What I want audiences to take away is a deeper emotional connection to the characters and to reflect on the difficulty of personal expression and identity in a world full of expectations.
