Film & TV Production

I’m the director of the short film “Countdown”. It follows a disillusioned office worker Alex as his life gets disrupted by the various voices appearing in his head. The film acts as a cautionary tale about losing oneself - whether it’s to the greyness of ordinary life, or the merciless ticking of the clock. The film is a psychological thriller, which is not my usual genre, since I mostly work in comedy and documentary - but I'd say my biggest feat is being able to adapt to any script that I am given and make it the best film it can be, while also adding a personal touch to it. As the director of "Countdown", it was really important for me to show Alex’s loss of identity both visually and emotionally - through the disorienting camerawork, the eerie soundscape or the lead actor's phenomenal performance. Overall, directing the film was an interesting experiment, and I believe that as a filmmaker you’re always on the lookout for something new and challenging to do next - ‘cause otherwise, where’s the fun in it?
