Leo Carberry Murray

Leo Carberry Murray’s Portrait

I’m the writer/ director of the short film The Last Drop. It delves into the complex bond between father and son, inspired by personal experiences. My aim is to convey the importance of familial connection. Using a raw, handheld approach in the forest scenes, the film captures the intimate struggle of protagonist Chris to maintain his relationship with his son, Oisin. Close-up shots emphasise pivotal moments of reconnection, highlighting the emotional depth of their journey. By portraying Chris as a flawed yet loving father, I added complexity to the narrative, inviting audiences to empathise with his struggles. Through Chris's determination to do what's right for his son, viewers are prompted to reflect on their own familial ties. "The Last Drop" promises to resonate with audiences, sparking conversations about the sacrifices and resilience inherent in family relationships.
