I was the sound recordist on the film The Last Drop, for me it was an ideal job because sound is something I find a lot of value in within the context of filmmaking so the passion was there to try and do the best job possible.
It was also a great experience because I had worked with most of the crew on various occasions before and knew it was going to be a fun and collaborative process. It’s nice to have a team that you know you work well with as it just makes the job a lot more manageable going into it.
I thought the areas we would be filming in would be hard to manage and quite stressful but both myself and the team gelled so well together that it really wasn’t an issue.
Of course, the days were long and tiring, but I feel that we really achieved the vision we were going for and I think that’s reflected through the final film, in all aspects.
