My name is Liam O’Leary, I was the cinematographer and editor on The Last Drop. As a filmmaker, my focus is usually on the visual aspects of a film, and how I can use these to complement the story. The Last Drop is a film about a father and son, and to communicate the core of their relationship visually was my focus for this project. The script was very personal to our director, and I felt that I would be able to help achieve his vision. My approach involved using diJerent shot sizes, such as wide and medium shots when the relationship was at strained points, or using close ups when the two are sharing an intimate moment, to achieve this. My intent with my cinematography in this film is to present the audience with a raw, honest look into the lives of our two ordinary characters, which I hope the film achieves.
