Evelina Strumylaite’s Portrait

Depop Rewind campaign focuses on the revival of Y2K fashion, which has become a major trend in recent years. The campaign emphasises the cyclical nature of fashion, positioning past trends as forward-thinking rather than backward. Slogans such as “rewind the trends, fast forward your style” suggest that wearing vintage keeps you ahead of the curve. The campaign blends nostalgic media with modern relevance, proposing a return to physical advertising—such as printed catalogues and a public installation where people can pose on a life-sized Y2K magazine cover. By combining old-school media with contemporary style, the campaign reimagines retro fashion as a progressive, trend-setting force. It celebrates vintage fashion as not just nostalgic, but also culturally relevant and creatively influential today.
