I present two connected projects for my creative show reflecting my passion for thoughtful, emotionally resonant design.
The first is my ISTD, which explores the shared design principles of Helvetica and the Little Black Dress. In my opinion, two icons are known for their simplicity, function, and lasting cultural relevance. The project positions Helvetica not just as a typeface but as a metaphor for the LBD’s structure and timeless elegance. Using a refined grid system and restrained typography, I designed a book that mirrors the design principles of each, visually expressing clarity and grace. In contrast, my second project is a grief support app, created in response to how isolating social media can feel during emotional hardship. Soft Matisse-inspired visuals, a calming palette, and features like emotional tracking and journaling offer a gentle, private alternative for those grieving. Both projects highlight how design can communicate care, structure, and emotional depth without excess—a theme that guides my practice.
