Dina Ottesen’s Portrait

The Sutton Shore project is exploring the change of use from the existing Sutton golf club, by turning it into a day centre for people suffering from Alzheimer’s Disease. The fundamental goal of this project has been emphasising how to create a beneficial environment for people suffering from Alzheimer’s disease, which was developed and inspired by the concept of brain functions. Turning our senses into different spaces to accommodate the users, emphasising memorable shapes and features that provoke recollection of memories. The project offers recreational and medical functions, as well as sensory and social functions for its users, prioritising accessibility, and ergonomics. Sutton Shore has a valuable potential for continued growth for an ageing society and an increasing number of persons suffering from Alzheimer's disease.
