This project envisions the transformation of St. Monica’s GAA Club into an inclusive early childhood learning environment, integrating a community library and a café. Inspired by the adaptability of origami, the design embraces dynamic, flexible forms that encourage creativity, interaction, and well-being. The inclusive school will serve children aged 4 to 8 with disabilities, offering accessible classrooms, therapy spaces, sensory rooms, and playful learning environments. The community library will act as a resource hub, promoting literacy, learning, and inclusive access to knowledge for students, families, and educators. A café will enhance social engagement, offering a welcoming, sensory-friendly environment that supports connection and inclusion. Grounded in Universal Design principles, the project prioritizes accessibility, sustainability through the use of natural materials for acoustic and thermal comfort, and innovative technological solutions to enhance learning and well-being. Every element of the design seeks to create a safe, enriching, and equitable space that supports positive development and community involvement.
