This project repurposes the former Loreto Senior Primary School, Crumlin Rd, Drimnagh, Dublin 8, into an adult education institute centred on sensory well-being and inclusive design. The concept is rooted in the dialogue between analogue and digital, natural and artificial. Key functions include a public library and reading café that celebrate the analogue, offering spaces for recreation and hospitality, while flexible educational areas reflect digital elements that support focused learning. A multi-purpose hall serves as a point of convergence, both for the community and for the concept itself, where analogue and digital elements meet in harmony and foster a sense of unity. Sensory installations throughout the exterior landscape encourage connection with nature, enhancing the experience of learning beyond the classroom. Altogether, the project promotes inclusive, lifelong learning through a considered balance of sensory stimulation and restorative calm.
