Laura Nikole R. Ajalla’s Portrait

Irish Georgian Society, 58 William St S, Dublin 2, D02 X751.

The City Assembly House originally established as an exhibition space to promote artist’s work, is a protected Georgian structure, the proposed changed of use aims to transform it into accommodation for both international and domestic visitors, lecture space, and an exhibition space. This will engage social interaction and knowledge exchange among guests, based on my thesis research rural residents in Ireland rarely travel to Dublin to engage with its vernacular architecture while international tourists visit the city specifically for its architectural heritage. This project seeks to retain the art movement that influenced the Georgian style of the building through my concept and to provide a sustainable approach through organic materials, natural light, improved heating in the building biodiversity, and building regulations.
