Nexus Creative Hub transforms a former furniture store into a dynamic community space for teenagers. This adaptive reuse project reimagines how urban spaces can better support young people, especially those from challenging backgrounds, by providing a safe, inclusive, and creative environment. The hub will feature flexible social areas for hanging out, quiet spaces for relaxation, and dedicated workshops for programming, painting, music, and programming. It will host cultural events, counselling services, and provide access to essential resources. By combining artistic expression, skill development, and emotional support, Nexus Creative Hub ensures a holistic approach to youth empowerment. Preserving the historic character of the Bargaintown building while repurposing it for meaningful new use, this project highlights the potential of thoughtful design in fostering personal growth, creativity, and a sense of belonging for young people in Dublin. Nexus Creative Hub is a space where teenagers can feel safe, supported, and inspired to thrive.
