The Story of Almost a Century is my response to the ISTD Brief “The Line”. The publication is divided into two parts. The booklets invite the reader on a journey and follow the different threats through the historical stories and insights that my great-grandfather lived through. The aim of this project is to generate a deeper understanding and awareness of the time of the second world war and communicate through typography and images. The story focuses on the timeline of a life in general, including bloodlines and geographical lines. 

Through deep research including interviews documents from that time, I was able to learn about the stories and insights from that time and could create a fitting design of the two parts of the publication that tells stories which probably none of us has experienced.
