Jasmine Allison’s Portrait

Claragh House, a historic estate in Donegal, is being transformed into a restorative retreat, offering guests an immersive escape rooted in history, creativity, and relaxation. The design respects the house’s architectural heritage while introducing interactive spaces that encourage connection and exploration. The ground floor layout is curated to enhance the guest experience, featuring a whiskey tasting room, a communal lounge, and an activities space where visitors can engage in art, journaling, and mindful reflection. The dining and bar areas provide a welcoming atmosphere where guests can gather, while the wheelchair-accessible suite ensures inclusivity. The design embraces a warm, natural material palette, incorporating wood, soft textiles, and ambient lighting to create a calm and inviting atmosphere. By blending historic character with contemporary hospitality trends, the concept ensures that Claragh House remains a place of comfort, storytelling, and discovery, where every space tells a story and every guest finds their own personal retreat.
