Claragh House, a protected structure, will be transformed into an elegant boutique hotel that blends heritage with modern luxury. The design respects the building’s historic character while introducing contemporary comforts, ensuring a seamless balance between past and present.
The concept is built on three core values: connection to nature, personalized hospitality, and timeless elegance. Natural materials, warm textures, and bespoke service will create an intimate and welcoming atmosphere. The original stables will be repurposed into a versatile event space, offering activities such as pottery, jewelry making, and wine tasting. An accessible guesthouse will be designed within the existing outhouse, ensuring inclusivity without compromising aesthetics.
Sustainability will be at the heart of the project, combining eco-conscious materials and energy-efficient solutions. The restaurant/ bar serves as a destination for both guests and the local community, reinforcing the hotel’s role as a refined yet inviting retreat in the heart of Donegal.
