Aimee Gillen’s Portrait

Nestled in the heart of Dublin this project embarked on the transformative journey of a former corset factory The Twilfit House, into an attractive boutique hotel. The fusion of the building’s existing architectural elements blended with contemporary facilities enables the hotel to seamlessly integrate into its community, promoting inclusivity and accessibility.

The guiding concept was ‘Curation’, a voyage through the significant memories which contribute to the area’s historical, cultural, and social fabric.

The design reflects this concept, offering a layered evolving visual experience which provides fresh experiences to guests. The selection of materials were driven by the desire to evoke a sense of fun and joy, creating a playful yet sophisticated backdrop for the curated collection of Irish-made art and furniture that adorns the hotel. This approach ensures that the hotel is not just a place to stay, but a dynamic showcase of local culture and craftsmanship weaving itself into the local area's tapestry.
