The Chocolate Factory was once home to the Williams & Woods Chocolate factory. The primary objective in this design is to create a comfortable space for people that are starting to work in an office space. Also, I wanted to design a space that would suit parents and I provided spaces that users can use while working so they can go to their homes stress free. My concept was reflected on how I created a corridor that acts as a divider between office and public, multi-functional spaces. As my design developed more, this corridor became smaller and public space became more useful. This is to show how the River Liffey started small and then became bigger dividing the city of Dublin but yet it brings people together. I designed a green area with fixed seating on the rooftop giving user a break from their task and enjoying the beauty of nature as part of biodiversity.
