In this project, I have explored the potential re-use of an existing building as a multi-disciplinary collaboration working space centered around the concept of human symbiosis. Currently a protected structure, maintaining the integrity of the structure remained paramount throughout my process and design. I looked into ways of how humans interact and depend on each other as groups or as individuals. The space seeks to create an environment that allows individuals to grow through creative collaboration, shared knowledge, and mutual support by bringing together multiple disciplines. The design concept incorporates fluid and rounded forms, alongside dynamic, geometric and undulating patterns. These elements serve not only for aesthetic purposes, but also symbolize the fluid exchange of ideas and collaborative culture within the workspace culminating in a co-creative collective.
