Ana Luisa Lopes Tavares’s Portrait

The Chocolate Factory is a protected structure from 1908 and it is a very challenging office space to design that I was able to take on, and greatly improve its functionality. For this project, we were asked to design a collaborative office workspace. I wanted to create a beautiful and integrated design that showcased nature being the main focus of my design but also preserved the beauty of the original building by mixing nature with the unique history that each crack and imperfection in the building has. All the floors in the building that I have designed have a variety of interesting rooms to keep everyone happy in their workplace but also entertained and most importantly focused on their work as sometimes the workplace environment has no facilities to relax during the workday and this can lead to diminished work ethic and unhappy employees. I have created several different relaxation rooms and several different activities to help ease the day to stress of the workday.
