The Chocolate Factory becomes The Urban Sprout Collective - For this project I have been asked to convert a 5-storey building into a collaborative office space. Inspired by the human connection and how we grow together, I envisioned a workspace that could promote collaboration, resources, and different types of skills. By creating a variety of environments withing the building it can suit different types of working styles, from open-plan areas to private focused zones. This office extends beyond the traditional office and allows the workers to interact with public visitors in different floors, creating a sense of openness and accessibility for everyone. In addition, I focused on the selection of sustainable materials and fittings and their environmental footprint as well as the potential of repurposing them after the end of the life cycle.
